Bojangles’ joins ACC as official corporate partner
Charlotte-based Bojangles’ has joined Atlantic Coast Conference as an official corporate partner.
Now “the exclusive chicken, biscuits, and iced tea of the ACC,” Bojangles’ will receive television and marketing rights with conference basketball, football and championship events from the agreement, according to a statement this week from the ACC and Raycom Sports, which manages its Official Corporate Champion program.
Bojangles’ will get on-site marketing, promotional opportunities, brand exposure, licensing rights, tickets and integration on the ACC website. Other ACC corporate sponsors include Food Lion, Geico, Havoline, New York Life and Toyota.
“Thousands of student-athletes are getting a great education and learning valuable life lessons at these schools, so to be part of what the ACC is doing for student-athletes is gratifying for all of us at Bojangles’,” the restaurant chain’s Chief Executive Officer Clifton Rutledge said.
Bojangles’, which went public in May, operates nearly 650 restaurants, primarily in the Southeast. Since its initial public offering, the company has been gradually expanding its regional footprint, with new stores in the Charlotte and Atlanta areas announced recently.
