Charlotte’s TrustHouse acquires Pennsylvania-based food service firm
Charlotte-based contract food service company TrustHouse Services has purchased Cura Hospitality, a Pennsylvania-based food service company for the senior living and health care markets.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Cura will continue to operate under its own name and will be led by current President Mitch Possinger, who will report to TrustHouse President and Chief Executive Officer Brian Poplin.
Cura provides services to more than 20,000 residents and patients every day throughout the Mid-Atltantic region, according to a recent statement from TrustHouse. TrustHouse provides food services to 700 client accounts in five industries across 47 states.
“Cura has built an incredibly strong presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, and we look forward to supporting them with our strong global brand and resources,” Poplin said. “TrustHouse encourages each of its companies to operate with an entrepreneurial spirit combined with accountability for their target markets.”
TrustHouse was created in 2008 through a partnership between former Compass Group Chief Executive Officer Michael Bailey and private equity group Gryphon Investors. It was sold to Parisian catering company Elior SCA in spring 2013.
