Northwestern Mutual hired Anna Mirzoyan as director of campus selection.

Creative marketing communications agency Wray Ward hired Krystin Dunbar as senior media planner and buyer, Ashley Moran as public relations and content marketing account manager and Marlee Murphy as public relations and content marketing account coordinator.

McNair Law Firm added intellectual property litigator Lance Lawson to the firm’s legal team in Charlotte to focus on patent, trademark, trade secrets and copyright litigation, as well as commercial disputes involving technology.

Steven Gibson, director of the City of Rock Hill’s office of management and budget, was named assistant city manager effective Jan. 1 to fill the vacancy left by Gerry Schapiro’s transition to part-time project manager.

The Charlotte office of Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog earned Metropolitan Tier 1 ranking in the 2016 U.S. News – Best Lawyers publication in the practice area of employment law – management, and Metropolitan Tier 2 ranking for the areas of litigation – labor and employment, personal injury litigation – defendants, and workers’ compensation law – employers.

Adam Bridgers, an associate with the Charlotte office of the labor and employment law firm Fisher & Phillips LLP, was appointed to the N.C. Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

Henry Rock, executive director of City Startup Labs, won a Purpose Prize Fellowship from Encore.org, a national organization supporting “second acts for the greater good” among older Americans. Rock was recognized for his initiative to teach entrepreneurship to young black men.

Paxton Van Lines of Northern Carolina, Inc., won a 2015 World-Class Commitment Award from Atlas Van Lines.

Charlotte office of Modern Impressions, which provides managed office information technology through machinery, software and expertise, earned the Circle of Excellence “Best of the Best” designation by Ricoh Americas for its customer service and support.
