Mooresville-based Lowe’s promotes two executives
Mooresville-based Lowe’s Cos. announced two executive appointments Monday: Marci Grebstein will serve as new chief marketing officer, and Erin Sellman will serve as senior vice president of strategy, insights and planning.
Grebstein previously served as Lowe’s vice president of advertising and in her new role, succeeds Tom Lamb, who has left the company. Grebstein will report to Michael Jones, chief customer officer, Lowe’s said in a statement Monday.
Grebstein, a retail industry veteran with experience at other large retailers including Food Lion and Staples, will be responsible for overseeing integrated marketing and communications strategy to consumers. She joined Lowe’s earlier this year.
Sellman has been at Lowe’s since 2004 and most recently served as vice president of strategy and insights. Before Lowe’s, she held strategy and consulting positions with A.T. Kearney and Arthur Andersen.
In her new role, Sellman will be responsible for corporate strategy, consumer insights and the planning and process organization. She will also report to Jones.
“Marci’s deep experience in retail marketing will help Lowe’s continue to create more personalized and relevant communications to consumers,” Jones said in a statement. “And Erin’s innovative thinking and data-driven insights will help Lowe’s continue to develop effective strategies for the future and further enhance the customer experience across all consumer touch points.”
Lowe’s, the second-largest home improvement retailer in the U.S., operated 1,849 home improvement and hardware stores in North America as of Oct. 30.
