Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors recognized the following for their contributions to the organization in 2015: Dr. Steven Ott, UNC Charlotte, Belk School of Business, who received the Cornerstone Award; Joe Meyer of ai Design, who was named Corporate Associate of the Year; and Keith Bell of Cushman & Wakefield, who won the President’s Award and was also named president of the organization for 2016. In addition to Bell, also installed as 2016 officers were Eric Ridlehoover, CNL Commercial Real Estate, president-elect; Joe Franco, Cushman & Wakefield, secretary; Meredith Ball, CNL Commercial Real Estate, treasurer; and Jessica Brown, CBRE, immediate past president.

Garth Dunklin, licensed as both an attorney and a realtor, won the 2015 National Commercial Award from the National Association of Realtors. He was also named 2015 Realtor of the Year by the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors, of which he is a founding member and for which he serves as general counsel. Dunklin practices with the law firm of Bass, Dunklin, McCullough & Smith, PLLC.

Andy Thompson, owner and vice president of Rose Chauffeured Transportation, was named to the board of directors of the National Limousine Association.

Melissa Zimmerman, a realtor/broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolinas Realty, was named the 2015 Vane Mingle Rookie of the Year by the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association.

William (Bill) Baker of Denver received the Dick O’Brien Award from Charlotte SCORE, a volunteer organization partnered with the U.S. Small Business Administration which offers free mentoring to small businesses and nonprofits.

Executive Women of Lake Norman presented Jodi Vipperman-Wright of Savory Moments Gourmet Catering with the organization’s Small Business Owner of the Year Award; Tricia Sisson of The Range at Lake Norman, the Community Service Leader Award; Danielle Ratliff of Serenity Now Massage Therapy, the Presidential Award; Kathy Holden of Home Helpers & Direct Link, the Board of Directors Service Award for her five years’ service. The group also donated $1,000 to Mooresville-Lake Norman Christian Mission. Officers for 2016 are Danielle Ratliff, president; Starr Miller, StarrMiller Interior Design; Annie Lewis, Annie Lewis Event Planning, vice president; Erin Gee, Aquesta Bank, treasurer; Vicky Turner, Perma Safety Tub, and Tammi Murphy, Blarney Stone Marketing & Design and LKN Savings.com, membership and communications; and Dr. Jodie Silver, SouthEast Chiropractic, and Gwynn Linder, LKN Fit Life, programs and education.

Stephanie Kegley, senior business development manager of Messer Construction Co., was inducted into the Fellowship of the Order of the Isosceles by the Professional Construction Estimators Association Charlotte chapter, the first inductee from the Charlotte region since 2000.

Allen Tate Company realtors and employees raised more than $128,000 for public education at four regional “FUNday” events in North and South Carolina, including an upscale tailgate party at Bank of America Stadium.
