Charlotte tech firms announce merger

Carolinas Net Care and I.T. Innovations, technology firms based in Charlotte, announced Wednesday the two firms are merging. The new company will retain the name Carolinas Net Care, LLC.

The merged company will operate from 5950 Fairview Road #712. Its partners include Charlotte businessmen Greg Aker, Fred Longietti, Lee Eskridge and Max Haithcox, according to a statement from the company.

Carolinas Net Care was started in 2006 by Aker and Longietti. The firm provides enterprise-level technology management for small to midsize businesses.

I.T. Innovations was started in 2000 by Eskridge and Haithcox and provides technical support, computer services and consulting to small and midsize businesses.

“Our relationship goes back to the late ’90s, and our culture is a great fit. Our customers will have access to some of the most talented consultants and engineers in the region,” Eskridge said.

Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
