Belk on Friday announced the retirement of Jacque Hall, executive vice president and general merchandising manager of feminine apparel, effective Feb. 1.

She will be succeeded by Nadine Rauer, who has been at Charlotte-based Belk since 2010.

Hall has held her executive position since joining Belk in 2009. She has led changes within the department to “better align with the Belk customer and brand,” Belk said in a statement Friday. Among other initiatives, she has partnered with Belk’s private brand businesses to increase their growth and profitability, Belk said.

“Jacque has recruited and developed a strong team here at Belk that has been an integral part of building our Modern. Southern. Style. assortments,” said David Zant, Belk president and chief merchandising officer, in a statement.

Rauer was hired at Belk in April 2010 as planner for contemporary, bridge and designer sportswear, and she most recently served as vice president and division merchandise manager of active and special size sportswear. Before Belk, Rauer held various positions at Marshall Fields and Michael Kors.

The latest executive retirement comes less than a month after private equity firm Sycamore Partners completed its $3 billion purchase of Belk. The company’s headquarters will remain on Tyvola Road, where the company employs about 1,300.
