Southpark’s BSN medical names new president of North America

BSN medical, a medical device company with U.S. headquarters in SouthPark, has named Todd Healy its new president of North America, effective Jan. 15.

The company said this week that Healy will be responsible for BSN medical’s U.S. sales operations and report directly to Chief Executive Officer Guido Oelkers, who previously headed U.S. sales.

“With his depth of knowledge of both patients’ and customers’ needs coupled with his leadership experience, we have a powerful team in place to further develop and grow our U.S. organization,” Oelkers said in a statement.

Healy, a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, has more than 30 years of experience in health care sales and operations, BSN medical said. Most recently, he served as senior vice president for provider services at Owens & Minor, a medical product and services supplier.

BSN medical is based in Germany and specializes in wound care and orthopedic products.
