Charlotte law firm Parker Poe expands into Atlanta
Charlotte law firm Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein has opened an office in Atlanta, its first outside the Carolinas.
The firm is currently at 3355 Lenox Road, Suite 750, and plans to move into a larger space this spring, according to a statement this week.
“Our increased presence across the Southeast positions us well to serve these global businesses,” said Thomas Griffin, Parker Poe’s managing partner. “We are poised for further success and growth in Atlanta, the Carolinas and beyond in the coming year.”
Joining Parker Poe is new partner Robert Florence, a registered patent attorney who previously was at McGuire Woods. He most recently was a partner with the IP boutique Workman Nydegger in Atlanta, Parker Poe said.
Also from McGuire Woods, team members Karen Carroll, Micheal Binns and paralegal Crystal Regan will be in the Atlanta office, as will Todd Sprinkle, a litigation partner previously based in Parker Poe’s Charlotte office.
Rounding out the team are two more former McGuire Woods attorneys: Brian Parker, a pharmaceutical industry litigator and former managing partner at McGuire Woods in Pittsburgh; and Kimberly Cacheris, an employment litigator recognized for her development of policies supporting work-life balance.
The firm’s new Atlanta location is its sixth office.
