Duke Energy exec moves to Lowe’s
Jennifer Weber, Duke Energy’s executive vice president of external affairs and strategic policy, will become chief human resources officer at Mooresville-based Lowe’s on March 1.
Weber, 49, will succeed Maureen Ausura, who will retire. She will oversee global human resources practices, policies and operations for 265,000 employees.
“Jennifer has a proven track record of developing human resource strategies that have helped companies deliver on their goals while building a pipeline of future leaders,” Lowe’s chairman and CEO Robert Niblock said in a statement.
At Duke, Weber lead federal affairs, public affairs, environmental and energy policy, corporate communications and sustainability functions. She joined Duke in 2008 and was a former chief HR officer for the company.
“Jennifer has made many important contributions to Duke Energy since joining our team, and I’m personally grateful for her strong leadership, counsel and support,” CEO Lynn Good said.
