CLT Joules names new director
Energy industry veteran Bob Irvin has been named executive director of CLT Joules, a nonprofit group that boosts energy startup companies.
Irvin, who lives in Davidson, previously worked in leadership roles at the Tennessee Valley Authority, Duke Energy and New York State Electric and Gas Corp. He most recently served as a strategic adviser to investor-owned utilities.
He will succeed executive director Lori Collins, who recently moved to Scotland.
Joules has accelerated the startup of 11 businesses that have created 66 new jobs and attracted almost $9 million in funding since its founding in 2013.
