As the firm expands in Charlotte, Bell, Davis & Pitt has added two new attorneys to its uptown law office as directors.

Josh Durham and Jason James were both previously partners at Poyner Spruill LLP. Winston-Salem-based Bell, Davis & Pitt said this week it has plans for further growth after the addition of the two Charlotte attorneys, and is expanding its space in uptown Charlotte as well.

“(Josh and Jason) are great lawyers and great people, well-respected in legal circles and the community at large. (They) combine the experience, commitment to quality, and the integrity that we value,” said Ward Davis, a director of Bell, Davis & Pitt who helped open the firm’s Charlotte office in 2004.

Durham has practiced law for 17 years in Charlotte and focuses on litigation and intellectual property across various industries, including financial services, transportation and hospitality.

A mediator certified by the N.C. Dispute Resolution Commission, James has 15 years of legal experience and focuses on litigation, construction law and commercial and business tort.
