Medical device company grows its Charlotte office

Joerns Healthcare has added 45 jobs in its corporate office in Charlotte.

The medical device company, which designs, manufacturers and distributes post-acute health care products, said it is expanding its customer service and dispatch departments “in response to the company’s recent growth,” according to a statement this week.

Joerns now employs 105 people at its Whitehall Drive headquarters in southwest Charlotte.

“These new associates will help ensure our customers have the products and services they need to improve medical outcomes and the patient experience,” said Mark Ludwig, president and CEO.

Earlier this year, the company changed its name to Joerns Healthcare from Joerns RecoverCare, a name Joerns had had since a 2014 merger with RecoverCare. Joerns said the new name is being implemented across the business throughout 2016.
