You can now pay for your items in-store on your cellphone via Walmart Pay.
The retail chain said Thursday that the service is offered on any iOS or Android device in all of the more than 200 stores in North Carolina.
“Walmart Pay is an easy and convenient way to make purchases with your smartphone, eliminating the need to carry a wallet or purse,” said Phillip Keene, Warlmart’s director of communications for the southeast.
Shoppers can use the new payment system at any register with an app on their phone. On Wednesday, Food Lion – the No. 2 grocer – announced a similar mobile pay application.
