Charlotte-based Sealed Air has acquired a Finnish tech company called TTS-Ciptec, which specializes in remote monitoring and predictive analytics for industrial use in brewing, beverage and dairy companies.

The deal closed on Wednesday, Sealed Air said in a statement this week. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“This acquisition enhances how we meet our customers’ sustainability needs by saving time, reducing product loss and water and energy consumption, and improving quality, hygiene and yield,” said Karl Deily, president of Sealed Air’s food care division.

Sealed Air, a Fortune 500 company, is perhaps best known as the maker of Bubble Wrap. The company was previously based on New Jersey and broke ground on its new Charlotte headquarters near the airport last June.

The company divides its business into three segments: food care, product care and Diversey Care.
