3D Systems of Rock Hill announced Monday that it has acquired botObjects of the United Kingdom.
3D Systems did not announce terms of the deal. Both companies make 3D printers.
The Rock Hill company also announced that it plans to launch a new desktop full-color 3D printer powered by botObjects' technology. The new desktop printer will be called CubePro C.
The new printer will be on display this week at International CES 2015 technology show in Las Vegas.

botObjects pioneered the first 3D desktop printer using PlasticJet Printing that offers full-color 3D printing, according to a 3D Systems news release. The full-color printer creates possibilities for designers, artists and engineers to create full-color prototypes and products. botObjects also invented a 5-color cartridge system that can mix primary printing colors.
