Heath Shuler to leave Duke Energy
Duke Energy said its senior vice president of federal affairs, former U.S. Rep. Heath Shuler, will leave the company on Aug. 31.
Shuler, a former member of Congress who represented North Carolina's 15 westernmost counties, joined Duke in January 2013 after announcing he wouldn't run for another term. He will serve as a consultant to Duke for one year.
Cari Boyce, Duke’s vice president for policy, sustainability and stakeholder strategy, will lead the federal affairs team on an interim basis.
