A long-time Wachovia and Wells Fargo technology executive is joining the services subsidiary of Southern Company, the Atlanta-based utility said this week.
Martin Davis becomes chief information officer at Southern Company Services after nearly three decades with San Francisco-based Wells Fargo and Charlotte-based predecessor Wachovia.
Davis’ career at the bank included roles as Wachovia’s corporate chief information officer, Wells Fargo’s head of technology integration and most recently as Wells Fargo’s head of enterprise technology services and chief technology officer.
Davis was in charge of merging computer systems after Wells bought Wachovia in 2008. He will be based in Atlanta after being in Charlotte with Wachovia and Wells Fargo.
