Social media site Reddit was full of discussion this month about Charlotte’s growth. Specifically, people were wondering what Charlotte would need to become a “world-class city.”

What does that term even mean? It could mean an inclusive city that provides a standard of living with prospects for economic mobility, according to one article from Stanford University. Answers vary but it could also mean cities with great parks, museums, sports teams and transit.
