Property assessment is taking place right now, and by late January, county taxpayers can expect a notice in the mail detailing their 2023 real estate assessed value. And by next spring, county commissioners, Charlotte City Council and surrounding towns will use this new appraisal information to help set tax rates that go into determining your property tax bill.
