Coronavirus

We need your help covering coronavirus. Here’s how to send tips to The Charlotte Observer

Dear readers,

The Charlotte Observer is here to help you get through the coronavirus pandemic and bring you all the news and information you need. We could use your help in bringing possible stories to our attention, whether it’s a person or organization doing something wrong, things that would be useful to know or uplifting news.

We want to hold people and institutions accountable while also answering your questions and telling you things you need to know in your daily lives. If you have information about government or corporate fraud or waste, or abuse of power or some other injustice, let us know. If you have good news, we want to hear it. And if you just have a question you want answered, this is the place.

You can reach us in a variety of ways, including anonymously.

Submit a news tip with our online form; email us at corona@charlotteobserver.com or email an individual reporter; or reach out to us via our Facebook page. You can also call our reporters and leave a message. Reporters’ office phone numbers are listed next to their names at the bottom of each story. While our newsroom is working remotely, reporters have access to their office voicemail boxes.

We won’t quote you or use your name without your explicit permission. Thank you for helping us make sure we cover the stories that matter to you.
