2 new deaths from coronavirus in Mecklenburg County, health officials announce

Mecklenburg County announced two new deaths from COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the total number of fatalities locally from the coronavirus to six people. There are 665 cases in the county, health officials said late Sunday.

More than 2,580 cases of positive coronavirus tests have been reported across North Carolina. Nearly every one of the state’s 100 counties has had at least one case, state data show.
