The coronavirus has broken hearts all across North Carolina.

The growing circle of grief includes more than 200 people who have died from the virus since the first North Carolina death on March 24.

But the story of a life can’t be told with numbers, a point on a curve or a line on a table. Those lost were friends and neighbors, grandmothers and uncles, people now missing from communities and families.

The Charlotte Observer wants to help tell the stories of those in the state who have died from the coronavirus.

To share the story of someone who died in the pandemic, email corona@charlotteobserver.com and a reporter could be in touch.
