Weather will limit StarMed to just one Charlotte-area COVID test sites on Saturday

StarMed Healthcare will open just one outdoor COVID-19 testing location in the Charlotte area on Saturday because of icy condition.

The Charlotte health care company had planned to open four sites.

Now only the testing site at 4001 Tuckaseegee Road in west Charlotte will be open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A mix of rain, sleet and snow — combined with below subfreezing temperatures — created hazardous driving conditions overnight in the Charlotte region.

It’s not clear if StarMed will keep its testing lab and patient call center open on Saturday as the company originally planned.
