Vote in our poll: Will you keep masking after Mecklenburg lifts its COVID mask mandate?

Mecklenburg County’s COVID mask mandate will be lifted Feb. 26, six months after the public health rule went into effect.

The Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Wednesday to end the mask requirement, although the county still recommends mask wearing during the coronavirus pandemic.

But the mask rule, which went into effect last August, saw little to no enforcement efforts from Mecklenburg County Public Health or Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

Now, the Observer wants to hear from readers: will you take off your mask once the mask mandate is lifted? Or had you already stopped masking in public?

Tell us your answer in our mask mandate survey. The survey will close at midnight on Feb. 24.

This is not a scientific survey.
