How protected is NC against COVID? Use this tracker to keep up with vaccination rates

More than two years after the first COVID-19 case was reported in North Carolina, much of the state’s population is now at least partially vaccinated against the virus.

While breakthrough coronavirus cases are possible, experts say vaccines are the best tool to keep you from getting seriously ill.

“COVID-19 vaccines are effective at preventing infection, serious illness, and death,” the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says. “Most people who get COVID-19 are unvaccinated.”

In North Carolina, vaccination rates have continued to climb as more folks have gotten their shots, data in this interactive tracker shows.
