CMPD officers chase suspect vehicle nearly 30 miles into Gaston County
Three people were arrested and a fourth person is being sought in a police chase that led officers from Charlotte to Gaston County early Wednesday morning, reports the Observer’s news partner, WBTV.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the chase began when undercover cops spotted a vehicle wanted in a carjacking in uptown Charlotte. The vehicle was pursued on Interstate 85 into Gaston County. It happened around 1:46 a.m.
The chase ended in the 800 block of Airline Avenue. One of the suspects was bitten by a K-9 and went to a medical center in Gaston County for treatment.
CMPD has not released the names of the suspects. WBTV reports.
