Charlotte lifts its midnight curfew
Charlotte has lifted its midnight curfew, Mayor Jennifer Roberts and county commissioners chairman Trevor Fuller announced Sunday night.
“Mayor Jennifer Roberts and Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners Trevor M. Fuller announce the City of Charlotte has lifted the curfew, effective immediately,” said a news release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Joint Information Center. “Mayor Roberts continues to urge the community to come together and show their unity in a peaceful and legal manner.”
Charlotte had imposed the midnight-to-6 a.m. curfew on Thursday evening.
