Six hurt in CMS school bus wreck Wednesday on Hickory Grove Road

A school bus with several students aboard crashed in east Charlotte Wednesday morning, injuring six people, reports the Observer’s news partner WBTV.

Garinger High School bus 195 was carrying 37 students when it crashed on Hickory Grove Road at Martha's Ridge Drive, Brian Hacker with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools says.

Six people were treated for minor injuries and sent to Carolinas Medical Center and Novant, according to Medic.

It happened around 6:49 a.m.
