One killed in Chester County crash involving school bus

At least one person was killed in a vehicle crash involving a Chester County, S.C., school bus Monday, according to officials.

The wreck happened Monday afternoon on Ashford Road at Mountain Lakes Road. Officials have not revealed many details about the incident, but the coroner's office confirmed one person was killed.

The victim's name has not been released.

Chester County Schools said Bus #20 was carrying students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The bus driver and the students on board were not injured.

From WBTV's Sky3, the bus could be seen in the roadway along with a light-colored sedan-style car. The car appeared to have suffered heavy damage to the driver's side.

Investigators have not said what may have led to the crash or if any other injuries were reported.
