Robbery suspect charged with robbing two more Charlotte businesses
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have added charges to a man arrested last week for robbing three businesses.
B.T. Wright III, 26, was initially charged Thursday after police said he robbed Cash Pawn America on Freedom Drive. Police pursued Wright’s vehicle until it crashed.
They charged him in connection with three robberies: Cash Pawn; the Sept. 3 robbery of a Rite Aid store on Little Rock Road; and the Sept. 17 robbery of Brownlee Jewelers on Hoover Creek Boulevard.
Police said Monday they have charged Wright with two additional robberies, Aug. 12 of Cash America on Freedom Drive and Nov. 8 of Metro PCS on North Graham Street. Wright was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapons, conspiracy and second-degree kidnapping.
