Juvenile charged in shooting death of Caldwell County man

Caldwell County authorities have charged a juvenile in the shooting death of a 48-year-old man.

Deputies went to a Granite Falls home Friday on a welfare check, the sheriff’s office said. They found Joseph Scott Bolick Sr., 48, inside the home dead of multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators took into custody and charged a juvenile whose name was not released. The sheriff’s office offered no further details Monday.
