New family court administrator announced for Mecklenburg County
Lynelle Morgan will become the next family court administrator for the 26th Judicial District of North Carolina.
Morgan recently relocated to the Charlotte area from Saline, Mich., near Ann Arbor. She holds a bachelor of science degree in political science and public service from Albion College and earned her juris doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School.
She replaces Elisa Chinn Gary, who left the job 13 years after being elected Mecklenburg County Clerk of Superior Court.
Morgan has spent her career as a public interest attorney specializing in family law and domestic violence.
Morgan will be responsible for oversight of family court operations under the direction of the trial court administrator. Elisabeth Arriero
