Rain in Charlotte’s forecast this week

Rain is likely over the next few days in the Charlotte area, as temperatures will continue to fluctuate rather dramatically.

Some precipitation is expected between noon and 4 p.m. Tuesday, with the high forecast to reach only 43 degrees.

A chance of rain or drizzle continues into the night, while the temperature could rise to 48 by 5 a.m. Wednesday and to near 71 by afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will fall back down to a high near 52 on Thursday, with a low of 25 forecast at night. The chance of rain is 80 percent Thursday, up from a 30 percent chance on Wednesday.

The sun should finally return on Friday, although the high is expected to reach only 43.

Sunny skies are also forecast for the weekend, with expected highs of 53 on Saturday, 56 on Sunday and 59 on Monday.
