Three Whitewater Middle School students were injured in a wreck Tuesday morning involving their CMS bus and an SUV at Rhyne and Moores Chapel roads in northwest Charlotte.

The students were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, CMS spokeswoman Stacy Sneed said. They were among 34 students on the bus, she said.

Medic reported taking four patients in all to Carolinas Medical Center. All had minor injuries, Medic said.

The wreck happened about 8:20 a.m. and involved a black SUV that had front-end damage. Details of the wreck were unavailable.
