Mecklenburg County awarded federal emergency funds

Mecklenburg County has been awarded $502,348 in federal funds to supplement local emergency food and shelter efforts.

The award is based on the community’s total number of unemployed.

A board facilitated by Charlotte’s United Way will determine how the funds are to be distributed.
