2 pedestrians struck near Home Depot on Wendover Road

Two pedestrians were struck Wednesday morning in the 1200 block of North Wendover Road near a Home Depot.

Medic reported taking one patient to Carolinas Medical Center with potentially life threatening injuries. Medic said it treated the other person at the scene.

The pedestrians were struck shortly after 11 a.m. No details from police were available.

Immigration activists want the Wake County school system to do more to reassure families of undocumented students following an increase in ICE raids. School officials say they already have policies in place to protect those students.
