Fireworks testing at BB&T Ballpark Friday evening
To prepare for 13 fireworks shows during the 2015 AAA baseball season, the Charlotte Knights will conduct their annual fireworks testing at 6:30 p.m. Friday at BB&T Ballpark.
The park will remain closed during the testing.
In its first season uptown last year, the ballpark was the most popular venue in all of minor league baseball. Through 69 home games, the $55 million uptown facility packed in 667,593 fans, or an average 9,675 a game.
This season’s home opener is April 9.
