Raw sewage spills in Lake Norman’s Peninsula community
A pipe failure caused about 75 gallons of raw sewage to spill in the Peninsula community on Lake Norman in Cornelius, but crews vacuumed most of it up before any reached the lake, Charlotte Water spokesman Cam Coley said Wednesday.
The spill occurred in the 18400 block of Peninsula Cove Lane, near The Peninsula Club.
