Giving away prom dresses

Prom dresses were given away Saturday at Prom Project by Girl Talk Foundation Inc. at ImaginOn in Charlotte. Prom Project is an effort to collect and distribute donated formal wear to high school girls for their prom or social.

As a prerequisite to shopping, girls attend a 90-minute etiquette class, hear from law enforcement experts on prom safety and from experts who offer tips on beauty and fashion.
