Rain expected on Friday in Charlotte

Rain is forecast to return to the Charlotte region on Friday and Saturday.

The chance of precipitation stands at 70 percent for Friday, with rain most likely after noon, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain also is likely during the morning on Saturday. Total rainfall on Friday and Saturday is predicted to be a maximum of 1 inch.

With the return of rain, Friday’s high is forecast to be a cool 46 degrees. Once the rain ends, temperatures will quickly rebound, with a high of 62 on Saturday and 70 on Sunday.

Next week is expected to have highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s, with no rain through at least Thursday. Joe Marusak
