Davidson has scheduled a public information session for Monday on a developer’s plans for a 59-acre subdivision in the rural Shearer Road area.
While the 34-home Narrow Passage development would be outside the town’s limits, Davidson has zoning control over the property.
“This land is in our rural planning area, so any decisions made for this parcel could set a precedent for how the rest of the rural area in Davidson is developed,” Town Manager Leamon Brice said. “We hope to hear feedback from as many citizens as possible on Monday.”
The information session on the plans by Plattner Custom Builders will be from 4-7 p.m. in the Davidson Town Hall board room, 216 S. Main St.
The meeting will have an open-house format with no formal presentation. Developer Karl Plattner and Davidson Planning Department officials will be present to discuss the project and answer questions.
