Two burned, pet rescued in west Charlotte house fire

Two victims were treated for burns following a house fire in west Charlotte Friday morning. A pet was also rescued.

The fire broke out around 7:30 a.m. at a home in the 1100 block of Fern Avenue, just off of Tuckaseegee Road.

Medic treated two burn victims, according to the Charlotte Fire Department. Their condition has not been released.

Firefighters reported smoke showing from the home when they arrived.

The cause remains under investigation.
