West Meck HS student accused of threatening teacher with knife

A student at a Charlotte high school was arrested Tuesday after officials say he threatened a teacher with a knife.

Ezra Faries, 18, is charged with three counts of communicating threats and one count of possession of a weapon on educational property.

Police said the incident happened at West Mecklenburg High School just after 8 a.m. Officials have not said what may have led to the alleged confrontation or named the teacher involved.

No one was injured during the incident.
