CMPD arrest 3 following armed robbery of 7-Eleven
Three people were arrested by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police on Friday in connection with an armed robbery of a 7-Eleven Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the store in the 1800 block of Freedom Drive at about 6 a.m. Wednesday. During the robbery, one of the victims was moved from the front to the back of the store, police said, and the robbers had fled on foot.
Raquez Smith, 23, and Jessica Sadler, 21, were each charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping, police said. Thaddaus Jones, 23, was charged with accessory after the fact and possession of stolen property.
