Fire damages apartment in southeast Charlotte

No one was hurt in an apartment fire in southeast Charlotte Sunday afternoon.

The fire happened shortly after 12 p.m. at an apartment in the 1800 block of Village Lake Drive.

According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the fire was under control in 11 minutes.

Crews say 28 firefighters responded to the fire.

It is unknown if anyone was home at the time of the fire.
