Wreck shuts N.C. 150 near Lake Norman

N.C. 150 in Catawba County near Lake Norman is closed because of a wreck Saturday night, state highway officials said.

The wreck happened shortly after 8 p.m. No further details were available.

In Charlotte, Medic reported taking one patient with potentially life threatening injuries to Carolinas Medical Center from an 8:30 p.m. wreck at North Bellhaven Boulevard and Mount Holly-Huntersville Road.

Shortly before 9 p.m., Medic also took a patient with potentially life threatening injuries to Carolinas Medical Center from a wreck in the 1100 block of Marble Street, which is near N.C. 27 in west Charlotte.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police also were at a wreck with injuries on South Tryon Street at East Interstate 485 Outer Loop. The wreck happened about 8 p.m.
