Man trying to catch bus is hit by it in uptown Charlotte

A man trying to catch a bus uptown on Saturday night fell, and the bus ran over his arm, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

Police told WBTV, the Observer’s news partner, that the man was running alongside the bus about 10:45 p.m. Saturday, banging on the side and yelling for the driver to stop and let him get on.

It was not clear whether the driver heard the man before he tripped and fell. Police did not say if alcohol was involved in the accident.
