Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are at three wrecks where injuries have been reported Tuesday morning.
Traffic, meanwhile, is backed up at 8 a.m. on Interstate 85 southbound in Charlotte from a wreck on the left shoulder near U.S. 29, Exit 42.
The first wreck with injuries happened about 6:45 a.m. at Statesville Road and Cindy Lane.
The second wreck happened about 6:50 a.m. at Billy Graham Parkway and Scott Futrell Drive.

In other traffic news, lane closings could occur Tuesday as permanent pavement striping begins at the new diverging diamond interchange at Interstate 77 Exit 28 in Cornelius.
The work is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Night temperatures are too cool for the striping to be done at night, town officials said.
The N.C. Department of Transportation has told the town the striping work could take seven to nine days, depending upon the weather.
