2 shot outside of Charlotte hookah lounge, police say
A man and a woman were shot overnight Friday outside of a hookah lounge in east Charlotte, police said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said the pair were walking to their car when they were shot in the parking lot of Babylon Hookah Lounge at 3061 N. Sharon Amity Road.
Police responded to the incident at Carolinas Medical Center around 3:30 a.m., where the victims were treated for non life-threatening injuries. Officials are working with the victims to identify the suspects and learn the cause behind the gunfire.
